About LTP

LTP started operating in Uganda in 2008 but the people in the board of LTP and the partners of LTP have been involved in the implementation of rural water supplies. During the period 2003 to 2008, CARITAS Lira and TGS Water Ltd have implemented more than 216 protected springs and boreholes in Lira, Apac, Oyam, and Dokolo Districts. The borehole success rates were optimized by contracting the geophysical site investigation and drilling advice of WE Consult Ltd. An inventory study dated late 2008 revealed that more than 95% of the sources constructed in the 2003 -2008 Rural Water Programme were still functional.

LTP registered with Uganda National NGO Board in 2009. LTP has to date funded over 370 water sources, sanitation/hygiene improvement and menstrual hygiene management.
